Alex Hugh started voice acting at the age of six in Los Angeles. His very first film Christmas in Cartoontown went on to sell over 4 million copies and holds a 6.8 on IMDB. Hugh continued to do voice over work and also acted in several films over the next ten years. His most well known work to date is his starring role as Jake in Lost Stallions: The Journey Home where he acted alongside the late Mickey Rooney, Roger Willie of Nicholas Cage’s Windtalkers, and Rachel Handy of George Washington.

Music was always a passion growing up though and Hugh even contributed a song for the film The Journey Home. As the lead singer and head songwriter for Charlotte, NC area super group ‘Remy St. Claire’ from 2009 to 2012, Hugh toured with Remy St. Claire and played in cities such as New York, Los Angles, Nashville, Orlando, Charlotte, and Atlanta. Alex moved to Los Angeles to work on some film projects with noted producer Matty Beckerman, and then took some time off to raise his newborn daughter.

Now Alex Hugh is back with his solo debut “How The West Was Once”. This record has a more stripped down western-folk sound and mixes in some alt-country, indie-rock, Appalachian-folk, and even a little bit of older punk. It really is a special record in its raw delivery and emotional attachment.

Hugh has toured and played at venues such as NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall, Decatur, Georgia’s Eddies Attic, Nashville’s Listening Room Cafe, and Los Angeles’s Hotel Cafe.

He performs regularly solo with one or two backing musicians and has also played with a partial or full band. When Alexander is not performing music or acting he is at home painting or playing games with his two children.
